Green clay is one of the strongest types of clay. It is best used to detox, remove excess oils and help acne-prone skin. While being strong, it is also soothing as its high mineral content helps to repair damaged skin and restore a healthy glow. It leaves the skin feeling refreshed and toned as it removes dirt and impurities. It will improve circulation, which will help collagen production. This may leave a little redness which will subside. As well as a face mask, it can also be used in natural soaps, bath bombs, cosmetics, exfoliants and homemade deodorants. Make a face mask by adding water, toner and even some raw honey, to make a paste and leave on the skin for 10 mins. Once dried, use a warm damp cloth to gently remove and exfoliate. Best to use once or twice a week. As clays have natural metals in them, keep them away from metal items such as steel spoons, as it may damage the level of minerals. For external use only and avoid contact with eyes. Patch test before use, discontinue if irritation occurs. Store in an airtight container in a cool and dry place.
