Once soaked discard the water and rinse, transfer to a large pan, cover again with about 3 inches of water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 1-2 hours or until they reach your desired tenderness. Great for adding to salads and stews or delicious vegetarian tacos! Cooked black beans can be kept covered in the fridge for about one week. Store dry black beans in an airtight container in a cool and dry place.
