Dates are famous for their natural sweetness and caramel flavour however they are also full of minerals and vitamins too. They are especially rich in copper and fibre but also include iron, magnesium, vitamin B6, potassium and calcium. Ideal for school lunch boxes or best used for binding and naturally sweetening your raw treats. As the pitted dates are a little more firm than Medjool dates, you can still use them for raw treats by letting them soak in hot water for 10 minutes. They are also fantastic for chopping and adding to muesli, granola, salads and couscous. Store in an airtight container and keep in a cool, dry place.
