tapioca pearls

A common ingredient in Asian desserts such as tapioca pudding. These small pearls are also known as 'Sago'. Tapioca is a naturally gluten-free alternative. You can soak these pearls in your milk for 30 minutes to 1 hour before turning on the heat to give the pearls some extra plump texture, however it is not necessary and they are ready to cook. Tapioca is also a healthy source of calcium. Kindly remember to store all pantry items in an airtight container, in a cool and dry place.
