Orange & Poppyseed Buckwheat Pancakes

A beautiful fluffy pancake recipe thats simple to whip up.


Ingredients
  • 1 cup buckwheat flour
  • 2 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1 cup milk of your choice
  • 1 organic egg
  • 1/4 cup + 1 tsp maple sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 inch grated fresh turmeric (optional)
  • the zest of 1 orange
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup coconut yoghurt

Directions

Blend all ingredients to form a smooth batter and allow to rest for approx 10 mins for the turmeric colour to develop. Heat your pan on a low-medium heat, pour in your batter and flip once there are bubbles on top. Add a splash of extra milk if needed to loosen the batter. Serve with coconut yoghurt, crushed pistachios, rose petals and a drizzle of coconut nectar or anything you like.
